1. Acceptance of Terms

By using DraftZero ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

DraftZero is an AI-powered book generation platform. The Service uses artificial intelligence to create book content based on user-provided titles, themes, and instructions. Generated content is exported as EPUB, PDF, DOCX, and TXT files.

3. Intellectual Property

Your Rights: You retain the rights to books generated using the Service. You may use, publish, sell, or modify generated content, including publication on Amazon KDP or other platforms.

AI-Generated Content: Content is generated by artificial intelligence (DeepSeek). While we strive for originality, AI-generated content may occasionally resemble existing works. Users are responsible for reviewing content before publication. You must not infringe the copyrights, trademarks, likenesses, characters, or the reputation and privacy of real persons of third parties. If you commercially publish sequels, imitations, fan works, or content evoking well-known IP, you must confirm permission from the rights holder.

Our Rights: The Service platform, design, code, and branding remain the property of DraftZero.

4. AI Processing and Data Handling

The Service uses DeepSeek's AI API (api.deepseek.com) to generate book content. The titles, genres, custom instructions, and other text you provide are sent to DeepSeek's servers as part of the generation request. Please note the following:

  • Possible use for model training: Under DeepSeek's own policy, data you submit may be used to improve DeepSeek's services and AI models. DraftZero has no means to control or prevent this use.
  • Cross-border processing: Your data may be processed and stored in China.
  • Do not submit confidential information: Do not enter personal data, trade secrets, unpublished ideas, or any information you do not wish to disclose. Submitted text is processed on the servers of a third-party AI provider.
  • Temporary storage: Your input is also temporarily stored on DraftZero's servers to perform generation.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Circumvent rate limits or security measures
  • Resell the Service itself or misrepresent it as your own platform
  • Generate content that violates Amazon KDP or other platform policies

6. Points and Payments

Some features require points, purchased through Stripe. Points can only be used within the Service. Points are non-refundable once used for book generation, and dissatisfaction with generated content, KDP review outcomes, sales results, or revenue are not grounds for a refund. Unused points remain in your account.

If a generation fails due to a system error, the points used for that generation are automatically refunded to your account. Where a fault on our side is confirmed (such as a system failure, double charge, or points not credited), we will refund or credit points after investigation. Pricing is subject to change with notice.

7. Gallery and Public Sharing

When you publish a book to the Gallery, it becomes publicly viewable. You may unpublish at any time. DraftZero is not responsible for third-party use of publicly shared content.

8. Disclaimers

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or originality of AI-generated content
  • We do not guarantee approval, sales, or revenue on Amazon KDP or any other platform; DraftZero's automated checks are a convenience feature only
  • You are responsible for the final review of AI-content disclosure, categories, keywords, cover, text, rights, pricing, and sales territories when publishing
  • For specialized topics (medical, legal, tax, financial, investment, health, safety, education, or certification exams), verify content with a professional or a primary source before publishing
  • Service availability may be interrupted for maintenance or technical issues
  • We are not responsible for losses arising from use of generated content

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DraftZero shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
