Bring your content together

Import your own articles, newsletters, documents and captions. Review each item before adding it to your manuscript.

Public note, Substack, Medium, WordPress and blog articles. Some sites block fetching; paste the body or upload an export if that happens. Private and paid sections are not fetched.

HTML / TXT / Markdown / DOCX / WordPress XML or RSS / EML / SRT・VTT / Ghost JSON / X tweets.js. ZIP: article HTML, Markdown or text with local raster images. Up to 900KB per file. No subscriber lists, accounts or attachments are imported.

Google Docs: download as Word (.docx). Notion: export as HTML or Markdown. Medium / Substack: select article HTML files from your export. YouTube: upload your subtitle file. Rich text pasted into the editor appears here for review.

Files are processed by our server without saving the body to the database. Review images, links and formatting in the exported book; DOCX/ZIP raster images are resized and included within a total 256KB image budget. Email attachments, SVG, table layout and footnotes need separate preparation.

Output Settings

If left blank, the first "# heading" in the manuscript is used
The trim-size choice applies to the free PDF. The Publishing-Prep Pack's KDP interior PDF and paperback cover are currently fixed at 6 x 9 in.
PDF output is horizontal. For a vertical print interior, adjust the saved DOCX in a word processor and check the final PDF and cover spine width.
How chapters are split:
## Chapter Title starts a new chapter automatically.
# Title is treated as the book title.

Before exporting

    Preview estimates are not the final page count. After download, check the actual EPUB/PDF, especially images, chapter order and missing text.

    Next: ebook, paperback or private printing
    1. Kindle ebook: export EPUB, prepare a cover, then inspect the book with Kindle Previewer and KDP’s preview.
    2. Paperback: use the actual PDF page count and matching trim size to prepare a separate full cover with a spine. A body PDF alone is not a complete submission.
    3. Private copies: confirm size, margins and cover requirements with your chosen printer before ordering.

    • Inside margins depend on actual page count; bleed and outside margins have separate requirements
    • EPUB for ebooks, PDF for print
